2 Pee or not 2 Pee! That is the ? April 14, 2009

I have just put my 3 year old in underwear this morning.  I hope hope.. HOPE!  That we can get through today without any big horrible accidents.  I think he has a pretty good head on his shoulders and he also has a 5 year old brother that stands by his side in the bathroom telling him to pee already!  Does anyone have any advice on this potty training thing?  I mean I waited way to long for my 5 year old to be trained.. he sorta did it himself.  So now that I have decided i’m not gonna let my 3 year old wait quite so long I’m kinda scared that its not gonna be sooo easy.

Anyone have any tips at all?  Please comment and let me know!

Also my boys broke my recliner yesterday.  We now only have the couch to sit 5 people on.  Looks like if we are all watching tv we will  have 3 monkeys on the floor!  Best form of punishment if you ask me.

oh and I just noticed that as i was Helping Elijah pull up his underwear Aaron decided to write on my monitor with pen!  Here is to hoping that comes off some how!!

Letter of the day!

Easter Morning. April 12, 2009

Here it is 2:04 am on Easter morning, and guess what?  I cant sleep!  I had a toothache earlier so I took a small dosage of loritab from back when I had some tooth pain during Christmas.  For some odd reason its got me all wired now.  Totally not cool!

I hope this Easter is a good one for my boys.  Their Easter Baskets are not as full as I wanted them to be since funds are kinda low.  Kenny not having a job at the present time is really starting to weight on us heavily.  He got a job but hes not going to be making anything near what he was before, but he had to take what he could get for the time being.   We have survived tougher feats so I am almost positive we will get through this. May lose some things along the way but i’m sure it will all be fine in the end. I cried some today about it all, Heres to hoping I dont have to cry about it anymore.

The boys have managed to break another window over the week.  That is 3 now in what?… 3 years.  Aaron broke a window when he was throwing toys around in our little duplex in Norman. Then, Elijah broke Aaron and Calebs room window by hitting it with a hot wheel.  Then Caleb this week decided to build up his blocks in the window sill  in Elijahs room and then throw toys at them to knock them down.. Well I am guessing he missed once and shattered the window.  Boy did he get in some trouble, and he knew he was going to.  I was watching TV when he came to tell me the news.  He sat down next to me and said “Hey Mommy?” “Mhhmm” I replied.  He starts batting his eye lashes and getting his pouty lip ready “I Just wanted to say I’m sorry for breaking the window.”  “Okay…uhh..hmm.. what did you say Caleb?” I had to clarify to make sure I just heard what I thought I did.  “I said I’m sorry I broke the window” He restated.  “OMG Caleb! No you didnt…please tell mommy you didnt!!!”  I said as I leapt off the couch and ran back into the room, and there it was.. spider webbed fractures throughout the window.  Thats how it went down… and from there he began to sob and explain over and over again how sorry he was.  Daddy of course didnt take it lightly and he had to stand in the corner and had a big talkin to.. Now our house looks like its been condemned from the outside.. with plywood in the windows.  Gotta do what you gotta do when they want 500$ to fix them and there are other things at this moment that you need that cash for.

I Love my boys to death, but they are some destructos.  I have not even seen kids this destructive before.  I think they got it from there dad!

P.S.  I think my kids talk in there sleep.. hehe

Can I be your Shellan? April 7, 2009

I’m sure many of you don’t know what a Shellan is.. and thats okay!  I’m so sure your curious though.  I’m here to tell you about my experience with the best Book series I have read in a long long time.

A lot of us Mothers read… Why?  Because it thrust us into a fantasy life.. a different world!  For a while we get to be part of something else and not have to worry about the kids.  When we have our noses in a book.. we are vampires, princesses, sex goddesses, detective, witches, Some one we are totally NOT in real life.  WE get to smile and enjoy the books without stress.. its like a vacation from the real world…and its CHEAP!

The Black Dagger Brotherhood Series by J.R. Ward

I recommend this read to ANYone who loves Vampire Romance!  Yes there is Sex involved so beware.. Also is an occasional bad word but heck What is sex without bad words thrown in..HeHe!

The Link I put up is a link to her site where she has the books up there and you can read excerpts from them.  There is currently 6 books in the series one for each of the brothers.  There is a 7th book coming out on April 28th!  I cant wait!!!

A friend on one of the mommy boards I am on recommended them to me and I read all books within a few weeks..now all my books are being passed around to the Employees at a Wal-mart in Oklahoma.   My Mom has borrowed them and everyone keeps asking her if they can read them.  I have NOT come across anyone who had a single bad thing to say about the series.

First times a charm..Fan the fire alarm! April 7, 2009

Most of the blogs I read have something to do with food.  So I thought hey why dont I do something about food or cooking with mine.  Then after a few nights of trying to cook things out of my comfort zone I started to realize that cooking may not be my mommy forte.

For Example .. yesterday I told the boys to wash up (was damn near ready to end the whole project at this point because my kids spend forever washing their hands).  We gathered at the table and I got all our ingredients together for Puppy Chow.  First time to ever make it but ya know i’m thinking piece of cake.  The recipe says to put the bag of chocolate chips in a bowl and microwave it for a minute at a time and then stir.  Easy peezy Momma weezy.. right?… WRONG!  First time went fine.. I stirred it and put it back in.  The second time I open the microwave and smokes starts pouring out.  “SHIT” I scream and run to open a window!  Of course as Caleb is yelling at me for saying cuss words.  He is such an awesome 5 year old.. Keeps me in check.

I take the bowl out thinking I just burned a whole in the bottom of it and I smell burnt chocolate.  Pew!.. stanky!  I start to stir it around and there is just  black flaky charcoal  looking pieces in it.  I’m of course all pissed off about it .. I mean how easy was it supposed to be.  Kenny comes in and starts stirring it around saying he got all the burnt crap when he was younger so his boys will be fine eating it now.  He took out a few chunkies and told me to continue with the recipe.  I add everything else.  Have the boys stir it all together.. add the powered sugar to it. Give it a shake rock and roll.  Then I give the boys some.. Thank god it was a big hit with them.  I tasted it and it was sure far from Pioneer Woman perfect!  God how I wish I could be an awesome ranch wife with a uber camera and Cow patties on my front porch.  One that can cook like a Goddess!!!!  I’m such a SAHM LoZer! Ree (The Pioneer Woman), has to be my fave person ever even thought I have never met her.

*Anyway the point of this whole post was to say maybe instead of being like everyone else who shows there fine fine creations.  I will show how all my creation attempts turn out!  .. this could very well make me the laughing stock of housewives EVER!.. YaY!  gotta love any attention you can scrounge up!

Darn Tootin’ (Okay Who Stinks?..?) April 6, 2009

I just got done watching Oprah.  Today was an A-May-Zing show.  Only because it had such Truth behind it.  Today on Oprah it was about the things you dont know about Motherhood.  How different your life becomes when you pop out your first little hoodlum.  Of course we all expect it to “Change” our lives, but never to the lengths of not taking showers for days on end, cleaning puke off the wall, or walking around the kitchen cooking dinner with a tiny monster attached to your pant leg.  I would have NEVER thought.  I FELT for these women on Oprah..Because Wow i’ve been there. I have three boys of my own 7,5, and 3.  there is not a day that goes by that I dont think of using the duct tape method.  You could just pretend it was a game right?..  until child protective services knocks down your door!

Dont get us Mothers wrong… we love our babies.  They are the only thing on earth that we would do anything(and when I say anything.. I mean trudge through alligator infested poopie smelling swamps to pick a piece of fruit off the tree from the other side.. just because the kids wants it.  Not to eat it mind you..) for.  Mothers are glorious they can be anyone they want to be.  the Bitch, the cuddler, the mistress, the clown, the pretender, the doctor, and the Judge all in the same hour.

I LOVE MOTHERS.  MY MOTHER, YOUR MOTHER, You .. and Me!  I love us all.

We are perfect in our own Way.  We Do it right in the way that best suits us.  Mothers do whatever it takes to get through the day.. even when its absolutely not the best way to get through it.  At the end of the day.. we rest..collect our sanity and prepare for the next day, and then .. ZzZzZzzzZzzzzz!!
